COVID-19 - WE CAN BEAT THIS! TOGETHER!

πŸ‘‰ You know what, if we effort to help one another -- everything will be sufficient. πŸ‘ˆ No amount of alcohol, facial mask, tissue paper can protect you if your next door neighbor has the virus. You may be safe but she's not. That makes the risk higher by proximity. If you are safe and so is she...and the rest. That's a better chance of beating the common enemy in your community.

Share resources so that everybody has a fair or equal chance for protection, too. In it together, right? We can beat this!😊 Blessings, everyone!

OBSTACLES - THAT'S LIFE TOO

πŸ€“True, isn't it? And we thought that life would only begin after we have graduated from college, landed our first job, settled down with the right person, acquired that long awaited for position, possessed all the trappings of wealth, built our first house, and other things more which get us into a dizzying frenzy. And when we do.... we discover that time has run out on us, that we have lost our youth, that we have missed and too messed up on things which are more and most essential to life and living. We have heard and too have been told that so many times by our elders but we never would listen. We think we know better.
πŸƒ
Through the years I have learned to understand that the only true measure of true success is how you have grown as a person --- one who is created for a definite purpose. By God's design.
πŸƒ
When God wants you to do something for him... he enables you to do it... thus your talents or circumstances or situations, even the struggles. So it's not just about striving to achieve a good life for self. It's all about being the person after God's heart through it all. Life and living happens through it all.... the good and the bad. You are the whole package meant for one goal.
πŸƒ
Offer HIM your best. Learn to see your life through God's eyes. Because we tend to be quite shortsighted more often than not. Trust him to give you the best life you deserve. Trust the ONE who knows more about you than you would ever know about yourself. Life is what you make of it under God's guidance.
πŸƒ
Blessings to you.

STAYING POSITIVE IS A RARE SKILL

πŸ€“So true, isn't it? Yet life has taught me that as difficult as it may be 'tis better to aim for positivity rather than live in negativity day in and day out. Besides life is too short to simply waste it away on or in misery.

While you're at it, remember too - be kind.

Have a blessed day, folks!⚘⚘

GIVING YOUR DAY-YOUR LIFE YOUR BEST IS THE RULE OF LIFE

πŸ€“Giving your day-your life your best is the rule of life. No matter who you are or where you are or whatever it is God has given you in small or greater measure. Tiny or huge, that best is not meant to be hoarded.. but to serve the world. Because life is not all about you but for the greater glory of God. Live it by divine design. ⚘

You may be the richest person in the world...or...its poorest but each is meant to help the other. And it's not always material. Something is always there to push you in that direction - divine mission.⚘

This is one world. One people under ONE GOD.⚘

Blessings, everyone. Have a great Day. God bless you.πŸ‘Ό

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE FANNING YOUR FLAME

I am not sure if this video will come out as I want it to.  Still it's here for its message.  I love this video for its content.

Anyway, look around you and see. Who are the people fanning your flame... and who are those dousing it. Be with those who build you up and not those who tear you down or apart. Be with them who help you shine with your light....who help you become a better person. Be with those who are happy with your journey and bless you with their hearts.

Cherish them. Treasure them. Hold them in your heart.

FLEXING SOME THOUGHTS TODAY

πŸ€“Sainah a good old friend from India sent me an email with this: "My thoughts are getting smaller every day. Needing to flex it. Share, please." And she put down a list of subjects.

I replied...... Dear Sainah, with pen in hand my thoughts write.

☘PREJUDICE - “You can’t judge a person by what the rest of his race has done. Every country or race has its darkness. But I want to go out to the world and not be judged for darkness which doesn’t concern me as a person. If some may have been called ‘thieves’- I must say that it doesn’t make me a thief too just because my color or religion is the same as theirs. Is their family the same as mine? Were they raised in the values my parents brought me up with? Do they read the same books I read? Do they think the way I do? Or feel my feelings? Do they like pizza loaded with sardines, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, green peppers, and heavy mozzarella cheese!? Maybe they'd rather have it simple instead. So even if we were of the same color, they certainly positively definitely are -- not me nor I them.”

☘EXPECTATIONS - I start out with a set of expectations for every new experience coming my way. But almost always these expectations get dumped or brushed aside because something else is being formed or brought forth holding its own distinct wonder and flavor. So if I so stubbornly held on to my expectations, it would have come out in a far different way. It would then be something that was according to ‘my’ wants, ‘my’ set of parameters or conditions, and ‘my’ desired results. Where is the thrill in that? ‘Expectations’ rob the thrill off a new experience. Yes, they do.

And if you’re going to say that one can’t detach himself from having expectations, I’ll say yes to that. But let those expectations be tempered with knowing that things will happen when they happen without any help from you. So don’t try to color it with setting down expectations, yours, for it to arrive at ‘your’ desired results.

Let the new experience ride. Let it reveal to you its wonder, beauty, joy, magic, adventure, delight, wisdom, truth in its own distinct way. Let it perhaps squeeze out of you feelings which you may have forgotten or have chosen to ignore. Let it alter some old dusty wrinkled preconceived notions about things and people. Make you see that perhaps you have been wrong about them after all? Expectations are good but don’t let it stand in the way of wonder and learning.

☘IN LIFE THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES - A big yes to that one. You can’t really be too sure that your job would last you forever, that nothing will go wrong, that it won’t rain on your parade, or that your fortunes will stay strong, or that your health will not fail one day, or that no one will oppose your plans, or that your daughters will marry good men. Nothing guarantees you that.

Yet we carry on for the simple reason that because of life's uncertainties, we push ourselves hard dreams -- do what we can with what we have now -- some people I know dive straight unto the unknown. Is that smart or silly? Who can tell?! We are all writing our life story.

There is wisdom in that. That means giving each day your best shot. Be the best. Value the people you are with and treasure every precious moment that goes by. Relish beauty where you find it. Learn well whatever there is to learn. Love well when love finds you. So if and when one day things do go wrong cause there’s no guarantee that it won’t, you can look back with a smile and say ‘I did my best’…. And best is always good.

☘LIFE IS A POT OF STEW - What goes into a pot of stew? Yup, bits and pieces of all sorts go into it. You’ve got meat, vegetables, spices, water, etc. And it all gets mixed up together and the fire cooks it up to just right.

So is life. We too get all bits and pieces of all sorts of things and experiences which get intertwined in our lives each day. We get knocked up and down and around in that mix which then makes us lose our bearing or hold in life. Easily we can lose ourselves in it.

But wait! It doesn’t happen for no good reason. Every bit of what may seem ‘scrap’ to you – bits here and there – are actually lending interest to the whole of things. Those odds and ends are just the spice that liven up your life. Every different thing in that odd mix makes its own contribution to the whole effort - life!

And what creates it into a delicious whole? Attitude – it’s the fire that cooks it up to just right. It helps us appreciate hidden beauty and truths, makes us see where true value lies, and delight in the way it all blends up to create a delicious sumptuous pot of stew – yes, life is a pot of stew. Yes indeed!
-----
So now I lay my thoughts and pen down to rest. God bless you, Sainah. Until the next mail!πŸ€“πŸ₯°

There's SOMEONE Bigger Than You and Me

πŸ€“
When you think nothing is happening, think again. You might be in for a big surprise. The Big Guy upstairs loves dishing out surprises. Though sometimes it may not be what you want. But definitely it's what you need. You can't know any better. HE DOES!!πŸ‘Ό

CHANGE IS A CHOICE. FROM TINY BUD TO AWESOME BLOOM

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes." - William James

πŸ€“Yeah.... it sure is. But centuries have been spent in trying to teach it in the home and out there. Many have written books about it too....or spoke about it in seminars around the world. And by many more coming after them...that's for sure.

But the response is almost always like this: It comes in one ear ... and goes out the other.

Attitude is a comfort zone. A place where we are comfy, satisfied, happy, pleased with ourselves, and loving our habits... where we are our own heroes good or bad. But the downside is you're stuck where you are, good and bad.

Like being suspended in time...no movement, no options nor choices, no progress, no welcome change for better or best.

What to do? Aren't we asked to do the obvious: Change.

We make choices everyday. Change is a choice.  From a tiny bud to awesome bloom!

Have a lovely awesome day of new discoveries, amazing opportunities, mind-boggling potential. With change. Blessings! 😊πŸ₯° πŸ’“⚘ πŸ₯°☺️

THE TAAL VOLCANO ERUPTION --- JANUARY 2020

I'm sorry, folks, but admittedly it bothers me to see people here (in fb) listing down bible prophesies of gloom to explain the catastrophic events in our country and in the world.

Honestly, I would rather not focus on that. The people are already scared as it is to be reminding them more about bible prophecies and doom.😐

I think and believe that life rolls out as God designed it for things we deserve ..or.. don't deserve. Yes, we should be scared particularly if destruction hovers above our heads. Yet think about this...we self-made geniuses may have brought it upon ourselves, too  in some way or another!??πŸ™„

But right now, the big task at hand is this... let us concertedly bombard the heavens with our prayers to save us -our land and its people..and too of the world. Let us with our hearts and souls ask for His mercy, forgiveness, help, love. Let's continue and persevere to believe, trust, and be of good faith...as He repeatedly commands us in the Book.πŸ‘Ό

Why persevere?

Because we have an AMAZINGLY AWESOMELY MAGNIFICENT GOD!! AND.... WE ARE HIS CHILDREN. AND... HE LISTENS TO HIS CHILDREN. You know that to be true, right? Further HE says ....... "Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you."....... Do you still doubt that!? Pray away, folks. We are one in this, too.

GOODBYE SEPTEMBER -- WITH MEMORIES IN THE HEART

September is now gone. This piece here to remember September... and all the Septembers of long ago. The memories may be different each time but the feelings are the same.  Here's to September.

--- Today is the last day of September. Another added to our treasure chest of memories. MOMENTS IN SEPTEMBER . I live for moments. It does not have to be in a grand or grander scale (although if it does so much better) ... everything is worthy for my treasure chest.

It could be the most mundane ordinary insignificant thing as a McDo meal on one spur-of-the-moment morning -- but having it with the ones you love is such a terrific thing! It's not the McDo nor some other meal but it's the moment spent with family that's tops on the list.

There's also that fine dinner shared with a good family friend of many years (Rudy Ledesma). A perfect moment Rudy got his pasalubong of coffee from Germany, courtesy of youngest daughter Malen. The evening went wonderfully well ending with an invitation for dinner at his place -- he's cooking! To which his wife Ellen agreed, her charming chinita eyes smiling.

Then there's that surprising moment when Lucky-B jumped up the sofa (for the first time) and cuddled close to Malen. She's the new and youngest member of the pack. Not camera-shy either, aye?! :-D ... Are you wondering bout the name Lucky-B? Well, there's a Lucky who came first and she's now a senior dog (23 dog years)... a very very senior dog... and still with us. She's now wrinkled, blind, deaf, balding, slow in her movements but .....We love her! People and animals, I believe, shouldn't be 'discarded' just like that when they have turned old, ugly, and useless. Because honestly .....They will always be a part of your heart.

Being at the shore at early dawn is a beautiful moment that pleases the senses. The soft scarlet skies... the waves softly rustling under your feet... a gentle morning breeze blowing. That wonderful feel-good feeling. Sigh! The hustle-and-bustle of the chaotic city life simply melts away. Somewhere in Zambales.

Everyday the trash is gathered and taken to the outside bin for the garbage truck to pick up. I make sure to cut open any plastic sachets or pouches. No pouches.... no animals hurt. You see, you'll never know where these garbage would lead to. Our garbage collection system is grossly imperfect. These plastics, in some way or another, get to the seas.. thanks to our floods, too. There, some animal could get caught inside these plastic death traps. Also, I cut into pieces long strings of anything which could accidentally wrap itself around the animals' necks. Because... a little goes a long way to help or save the animals. Nobody will know nor notice but you do. And the animals can't thank you themselves either. BUT .....That little that you do .... matters!

We'll be saying goodbye to September but with a smile. And a sincere thank you with a grateful heart to.... a magnificent God and Father who showers gifts so generously on His children. . God bless you, folks!

Goodbye, September.
