WHAT YOU THINK, YOU ARE

It's a fine sunny morning today. And a nice occasional breeze to boot! A lovely day to think.......

There is something which we must try to learn --- that we cannot separate our thoughts from self. That thoughts spur our speech and action. What people hear us say or see us do would always point to the thoughts we hold in our minds. We are our thoughts.

  1. Marcus Aurelius put the same in different words."The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: therefore, guard accordingly, and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature."

    1. Oh yes, I remember that too from Marcus Aurelius. Have read many other versions of that same thought -- all inspired by the words of Christ. Many have understood down through the years but only a few do walk in His shoes. So I guess it's still the same lesson that we are learning and relearning, over and over, again and again.... until we finally get it.
