CHANGE IS A CHOICE. FROM TINY BUD TO AWESOME BLOOM

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes." - William James

🤓Yeah.... it sure is. But centuries have been spent in trying to teach it in the home and out there. Many have written books about it too....or spoke about it in seminars around the world. And by many more coming after them...that's for sure.

But the response is almost always like this: It comes in one ear ... and goes out the other.

Attitude is a comfort zone. A place where we are comfy, satisfied, happy, pleased with ourselves, and loving our habits... where we are our own heroes good or bad. But the downside is you're stuck where you are, good and bad.

Like being suspended in time...no movement, no options nor choices, no progress, no welcome change for better or best.

What to do? Aren't we asked to do the obvious: Change.

We make choices everyday. Change is a choice.  From a tiny bud to awesome bloom!

Have a lovely awesome day of new discoveries, amazing opportunities, mind-boggling potential. With change. Blessings! 😊🥰 💓⚘ 🥰☺️

DIG - DIG -DIG .. AND YOU'LL NEVER BE SORRY YOU DID

"Dig within. Within is the wellspring of Good;
and it is always ready to bubble up, if you just dig."
-- Marcus Aurelius

'People are so mean' 'There's so much bad around' 'Nobody cares' 'It's a bad bad world' ----- Well, that observation is both a Yes and a No. Because yes people can be so mean and selfishly unkind, that selfish-interests usually dominate many things, that some people steal fight betray cheat bully kill, and with all these in the forefront of the news one indeed gets the impression that it is indeed a bad bad world.

But.....

truthfully, people weren't created that way. Basically, people are good. Good where it matters most.

Now the question is.... so where did all that go?

My answer to that is NOWHERE. That good is still in there inside the person. The only trouble is the person allowed trash or junk into his mind heart and soul, including the body i.e. smoking, drugs, etc. pushing the good down to the bottommost. And when that gets into a man's system.. everything else will follow negatively. Life simply becomes how man lives it.

So how do we get back our old self again -- the self which God created -- and get back on the track of good?

You and I and others, we DIG!! And I mean seriously dig hard and harder.

Where? How? We go back to where it all started --- the self. Do some house cleaning.. I mean self-cleaning. Dig and deeper. Throw out the garbage that's accumulated and is rotting the system. Poison which eats you up bit by bit but steadily and more often unconsciously until it succeeds to disfigure and transform you into a monster. An ugly monster. Imagine a world of disfigured humanity.

The digging is gonna wear us out Yes.. but nobody is going to do the work for us. See the irony there? It was easy getting the trash into our lives but quite so difficult to be rid of it. WE own the trash... WE get rid of it. And no amount of drama or excuses will take us off the hook. Small effort or big, great or grand --- it doesn't matter, just DIG! We won't be sorry we did.

But DIG! Because good is just waiting to be resurrected... to bubble up and shine out to a world sorely in need of it. That's who we really are. By God's wisdom and design. Until we decided to mess it up ourselves (woe to us!).

I've come across a nice line, in essence it goes this way.... '.... the world may seem to be bad but because good people do nothing about it....' And this.... 'you want a better world, then be the change you want to see...'

LET'S START THE DIGGING!
Blessings to everyone!

START WITH SELF

------------------------
A good friend online sent this to my inbox. Glad that he did because it is one of the most powerful though simple piece of writing I have ever come across.

To quote........

"But where to start?
The world is vast. I shall start with the country I know best, my own.
But my country is very large; I had better start with my town.
But my town, too, is very large.
I had better start with my own street.
No, my home.
No, my family
Never mind, I shall start with myself."

(Elie Wiesel)

Unquote.

It's as simple as that... 'start with myself'. But sadly we don't. Well, not often as we should or must. Funny but we seem to get so much thrill in pointing the task or blame on others. We say ...... It's they who should change, they should do the dirty work, they should stop their bad habits, they should be praying more, they should do the noble and higher goal. It's always --- he, she, they or them.

But where are we in the bigger picture of things? Have we made ourselves part of the change? Are we there where things are happening and not under the cover or safety of our comfortable shells? Are we willing to take risks for a better life for self and the family, home, street, town, country? Do we bite our tongues rather than speak out when we should? Do we crumble at the merest pressure? Do we hesitate in writing down our thoughts on something controversial yet which we believe is true? Do we turn the other way when we see crooked practices from men and women of religion, position, and uniform? Do we simply look with distance and disinterest at cruel and unfair practices of man towards man... or man towards animals... or man towards the environment?

You want a better world, country, town, street? --- Start with self. A good person creates a good family and home, is a good influence to the neighborhood on the street where he lives. This in turn makes for a good community. A good community creates a good town. Many good towns create a good country. And hopefully many good countries create a better world.

Isn't this what we really .. really want? To get that -- we, as somebody once said before, need to be the change we want to see in our world.
