SOMEDAYS YOU JUST HAVE TO CREATE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE
-------------
"Life is a smile so find it
Put your face behind it
Get it straight in your mind
You gotta make your own sunshine
..... It can't be so hard to find."
(Anon)
.
Even if life throws you a sour ball and you get it smack on your face......... that only means that you have to practice your ducking skills some more!
.
And if life plays a sad bad tune and expects you to dance to it......... say 'thanks but no thanks' and go ahead make your own music and dance loco to it.
.
When you get spoilers to your day of things and people......... show them the door and slam it hard behind them.... gleefully!! Bwahahaaaa......
.
When something goes wrong to your favorite plan or project......... take that as a cue to ease up, lie down, or hit a ball or two on the tennis court or check out your better idea to unwind. Or better yet clear the cobwebs in and on your mind -- There must be a huge ugly super-pangit spider somewhere in there picking on your creative cells for lunch.
.
When you feel that you could kill this jerk because he IS a big jerk......... think of how our jails are hopelessly congested you have to queue for hours to use the toilet.
.
When no matter how hard you try you just can't seem to find that elusive sunshine......... i-drawing mo na lang yan! Draw your piece of sunshine with crayons and paper. Yeah, Go ahead!!! .... and rainbows and stars and roses and angels and moonbeams!
.
When you feel that your prayers are hitting a huge blank wall......... it's just the devil making you think that way. So direct your prayers to the villain with this: In Jesus' name, go smash your ugly nauseating excruciating obnoxious villainous head to that wall there!!! ... Then go back to your conversation with God.
.
Yes, I get bad days too just like everybody else and sometimes my sunshine goes shy. But I have learned to buoy up my sunshine with some wee bit of effort and a truck-load of prayers. You just have to try. Don't let a lovely day go to waste.
.
Wishing you a lovely day of blessings. Shine with your light! God bless you.

ONE SEES MUD -- ONE SEES STARS
---------------------
‘Two men looked through the same bars.
One sees mud, and one sees stars.’
-- F. Langbridge
This made me think... the ‘one sees mud’ part of it.
Because life as I have learned is just like that. And we are presented with similar situations but from the same vantage point of strife. Our visions are narrowed down or restricted by our minds which seem to understand only those which touch our pain when it feels pain. In pain we see more pain. In struggles we see more struggling, in hurt more hurting, in grief more grief, in darkness even more darkness. It seems to lose its grasp of joy the reason why we stay longer than it should within the sorry void of misery, mess, muck, and mud of our lives.
And this line too made me think... ‘and one sees stars.’
On a clear evening sky the stars shine oh so brightly taking one’s breath away as it praises its Creator. You do too with a prayer of thanks in the heart. As a child I stood so much awed by its wonder and beauty. Mom would always say.... ‘Look to the stars when your heart feels burdened. And find rest.’ It works every time. But apart from taking Mom’s advice literally, I also learned to take it several steps farther and higher as I grew older. Life is a good teacher. Indeed.
Life is tough; it never makes it easy for anyone. We all go through challenges, big or small, at some point of our lives or another. It’s a constant. We continuously journey the hills and valleys of our lives regardless of our brilliance, talent, titles, and the presence or absence of money.
There must be something more than just the sense of survival to get through everything.
And this I have learned that if you listen well enough and look hard enough behind the temporal frills of our mundane lives you will find a tiny spark within. A flickering steady flame right there in your heart which holds itself bravely through the long weary day and night and it waits to be rekindled again and again with every opportunity that rises to do so.
‘Two men looked through the same bars. One sees mud, and one sees stars.’
Hope. Faith. Positivity. God.
Have an unbelievably blessed day, everyone! Blessings!

REFUSE ENTRY TO THE NEGATIVES OF LIFE
Thank you Mr. Quote Man for this morning's nudge .....
"The entire sea of water cannot sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world cannot put you down unless you allow it to get inside you." -- Unknown
Unquote.
Oh but it's a battlefield, always a battlefield, the positive vs. the negative not only in our mundane daily lives but also in the bigger arena of the world. Undoubtedly it's the irritating inconvenient worrisome negatives of our day to day lives which pull us down from our perch. Like pesky termites gnawing at our peace, confidence, balance, comfort bit by bit finally boring a huge hole in our sanity.
But you know what, it's not the negatives that are to blame. Negatives are what it is and cannot be anything else but itself. It too has its reason for being. Deal with it as it deserves to be dealt with.
Understanding that, we can see that if we do NOT want it in our lives then we should REFUSE its entry into our lives. It's as simple as pizza pie, as a friend once said to me.
So there lies our challenge --- how to purposefully determinedly and effectively say to the negatives 'DO NOT ENTER' ...... and mean it! Good luck!
