NO SUCH THING AS AN UNIMPORTANT DAY

"There is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day."
--- (Alexander Woollcott)

Do you believe that? Well, I do. Learned to. Even in an ordinary uneventful and blah or duh day, always something is happening or being created. The magic lies in every movement, every breath, every touch, every scent, every vision. But you have to see it. Sometimes learn how. Somebody said this ---- "A meaningless life or day is such only if we allow it to be." -----

------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, friends, here's a lovely poem shared with us by Sana/A New Beginning. She can't remember its author but never mind. I like it and am sure that you'll like it too. Here's why.....

DECIDING

Outside my window, a new day I see,
And only I can determine
What kind of day it will be.
It can be busy and sunny, laughing and gay,
Or boring and cold, unhappy and gray.

My own state of mind is the determining key,
For I am only the person I let myself be.

I can be thoughtful and do all I can to help,
Or be selfish and think just of myself.
I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun,
Or gripe and complain and make it hard on someone.

I can be patient with those who may not understand
Or belittle and hurt them as much as I can.

But I have faith in myself,
And believe what I say
And I personally intend to make the most of each day.

  2. Hi Elen,
Yes, I too believe everything has an underlying meaning and something we remember it for long after it's over. Like every person every moment and thing is unique.

  11. Ellen,

Read 3 posts now. Take A Chance conveys what one needs to be. Advice to your nephew stands for so many of youngsters even today. This one is a true fact as " For I am only the person I let myself be." So true.

    Take care
