MAYBE IT WILL WORK OR MAYBE NOT BUT WE MAKE DO

We're never really assured of outcome whatever the thing we're faced with. Wish that there was a fool proof way of knowing ahead of time. But always it seems to be that something out there could or would possibly alter or influence result. Perhaps something forgotten, new hurdles, attitude change, people moving, or some unlikely unwanted surprise or two and many more. It happens. I usually get unhinged by such things or by something else preventing a well thought out plan from happening or finishing. It drives me crazy because there isn't a back-up plan to it. Who thinks of a backup plan anyway when you're sure it's going to work.

But then I got to thinking, maybe it will work or maybe not.. nobody knows that... not with the way things have turned out anyway. But I think we carry on with what's left there available to us. We make do.

No I don't think it's making do with mediocrity but rather it's the rise of renewed brilliance resilience courage strength hope and faith. Armed with that we inch forward using what we have, in spite of. There's nothing mediocre about that. We make do because we can. That's the human spirit at work, regardless.

  1. Hmmm.....Shall I say that I got here at a right moment.........I need to work on a very important project but I am somehow unwilling to start.....but like you suggested....I need to Make Do it.

  2. If everything went the way we wanted, then I guess life wouldn't have been this exciting, fun, and full of surprises. We've got 'hope' to keep us going and like you rightly said, it's the human spirit that finds renewed hope and meaning in what went wrong to discover an altogether different world!

  4. Hi Jigyasa! :-) Maybe you're referring to the length of the post? Well, it's something I find quite fun doing lately. If I can put in a thought in a few and get the message across in a simple way and be understood, I think it's just as enjoyable doing it as with a longer post wherein thoughts may go rambling in one direction or perhaps several. :-) 'The writing is defined by its expression and not solely by its length' -- something I remember my Literature teacher strictly telling me back then and made sure that I understood. Lols!

Oh you'll get it done I'm sure. You always do. You're very good at what you do. :-) Take care and lots of blessings to you.

  6. I strongly believe, all these things won't effect externally..i mean, dby doing all these, we wont get anything from external world.. but the internal thoughts of a man/woman gets effected a lot..which gives the energy required..

  7. Hi Pram,

Indeed so true... "..but the internal thoughts of a man/woman gets effected a lot..which gives the energy required.." -- Truly the indomitable spirit of man. It never lets anyone down. Thanks for coming by and for sharing your insight on the subject. Take care and God bless you and your loved ones.

  8. Excellent post..when we think it's going to work it seems to changes form to just the opposite.

  9. But man doesn't stop there, right? So many stories written about people who pushed onwards against all odds. That's the stuff man is made of. God did not create a weak spirit in us, he created winners over all things. We can overcome, by God's design.

Thanks, May, for taking time off from your wonderful blog and come here. Pleasure is all mine. God bless you and your family.

  10. Ellen,

Read 2 posts now. I feel success is when you are at peace with yourself. If we know the outcome of everything is advance then where is the fun? All one needs is flexibility to get on with something else if outcome is not what was expected.

    Take care

  11. Beautifully said, Jack -- "..success is when you are at peace with yourself." If we only learn to understand this then it will reduce or eliminate all unnecessary stresses in our lives. But never is it too late to learn! :-)

Thanks for this wonderful visit. 'Wish you a very blessed day.
