THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE

A mother doesn't have all the solutions to life's problems. Nope. But she does have an observant eye..... an open mind..... and a heart that easily understands the whys and whatever for and why God sometimes is so slow or seems so busy at times.

How she gets all that? I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out how Mom got hers. But I think she was born with it. God put them in all mothers I suppose. Some use it, some don't, and a few just don't know how. :-)

  1. I guess 'Mothers' are God's way of taking care of us. And it's only when you become a mother are you able to appreciate the things your mother did, in totality.

  2. I agree Ellen with you.
Here are two quotes that I liked

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new."
The mother-child relationship is paradoxical and, in a sense, tragic. It requires the most intense love on the mother's side, yet this very love must help the child grow away from the mother, and to become fully independent.

  6. So true, Sana. Indeed mothers are wonderful blessings. My mom was of true grit as she travelled through the hills and valleys of her life. Missing her so.
