20-20 VISION IN THE HEART

Has anyone ever said, "It is important to spend less time on how we look and more time on how we see?" If not, someone should. -Anon.

On the subject of 'looks' we aim to be neat and clean, properly garbed to occasion, decent to social norms, and a few bit more add-ons...... but the rest of it should be in trying to cultivate the wisdom and art of seeing the world, life, things, people with 20/20 vision in the heart. Yeah, the heart steeped in real deep & deeper understanding knowledge compassion insight discernment perception -- is able and can better see the world in its rightful genuine perspective and valuation. Being at peace with all that lends a person a special aura and glow unmatched by even the most beautiful creature in the world!

  1. Your post reminds me of a messsage I recieved from someone, it said...
theres a beautiful poem that Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her beauty tips:
" for attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For slim figure share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day,
and for poise , walk with humility, if you ever need a helping hand , you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older , you will discover that you have 2 hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others."
That I guess is what being beautiful is all about! :))
Thanks for a wonderful post Ellen!

  3. Hi Elen,
You have hit the nails on the head. I too have always believed that true beauty comes from within; it's what lies within you that's your wealth. Compassion and knowledge are true components of beauty.

  8. Hello Ellen!

Once again........a beautiful post. I believe that beauty has to be inner as without that the outward beauty becomes fake.....all what matters is how one feels about his/her own looks.

    Keep Smiling

P.S: The picture in the post is too good.
