"Promise me this, that you will not allow life to harden your heart because it will if you allow it. Always stay open to the possibilities of a new Love, it could be right in front of your face, and always have faith that God wants you to be happy and he has wonderful things planned for you." ----- Karen Kostyla

Beautiful, isn't it? Yet we fail in all that it highlights. We allow the difficulties of life to harden our hearts...... close our doors to new love and possibilities when we are broken lost and confused..... and doubt our God in His plans for us when we are at our lowest ebb.

And still.... God loves us inspite of our frailties flaws and imperfections. He picks us up every time we fall. He comforts and heals our broken hearts and souls. He understands the times when we struggle with our faith. Not once, not twice, but all the time.

That said, I think it won't be so hard to keep those promises, Karen Kostyla. Cos we are backed up by the magnificent love of a wonderful God. Hope can't be very far behind. It's just a prayer away.

  1. "Promise me this, that you will not allow life to harden your heart because it will if you allow it.....beautiful lines and its what generally I shall remember it.

  2. Couple of years back, this was my favorite line ---- "Best is yet to come".

You reminded me of it again!

Great posts and lines to live on.. Ellen!

  3. Beautiful! I've been a little down spiritually speaking lately, and this has lifted my spirits.

  4. Hi Deb,

You're not alone. I've been there recently when my spirits seemed to be such a heavy load and I didn't know why. Then I realized that perhaps 'twas God's way of saying .. 'Slow down. Be still.' So I did. He was right. Always is.

You'll be fine, Deb. God's there to make it happen. Blessings to you and your family.

  5. Hi Pearl, life is a great teacher. It gives us the right lessons we should be learning. We learn and come out better persons from it.

Always pleased to see you, my best wishes and prayers for you and your family.

  6. Hi Renu, I surely appreciate each time you come dropping by the blog. Despite our distance you seem to be so near. Thank you for your friendship. Blessings to you and your family.

  7. Ellen,

So inspiring quote and well told in detail. We always need to face life as it comes with our faith intact.

    Take care

  8. 'With faith intact'... you are right, Jack. Faith is our anchor in life. Nice to see you. Bless you and your family.
