A PURPOSE TO EACH AND EVERY LIFE

------------------
Reading the Sunday paper this morning, I stumbled on this line... one which is so simple and yet can be quite easily taken for granted because others have said it or written about it a dozen times before that it loses its novelty after a time. But sometimes in a day or at some point in your life when you stand ripe for learning or teachings... a tiny nugget of discovery, revelation, insight, or wisdom strikes home in your brain or heart.. to where it matters most. And it doesn't matter if you have heard or read it before a hundred times or more.
.
This one got to me and opened my mind like a can opener opens up a can of pork-and-beans. Yummy, by the way... my favorite.
.
It says, to quote.... "There is purpose to each and every life on the planet - spiders count, too!" ---Unquote
.
Yeah. And I think back on those things which sort of irritate or vex my soul then and now. Plenty, I must say. Things and people which don't live up to their promise or primal purpose always rub me the wrong way. Shortsightedly I fail to see reasons behind it and instead zero in on my irritation or inconvenience. My bad, right.
.
I didn't quite see why in heaven's name should anything or anyone so inefficient or seemingly uncaring should inhabit this planet. Till I learned to understand that those things and they too have a reason for being.
.
Every life has its reason to be here. That includes all creatures of the air, land, and sea. A life may not be as perfect as you may want it to be but in its imperfection lies your nudge towards understanding your own imperfection, too. Some things somewhere there in your life journey manage to knock out your world in chaos and disarray... things which didn't and couldn't grant you the satisfaction you desire.
.
But all are for a reason. And the reason is for you to find out. I don't have the answers for you, nobody does. We each are tasked to seek it ourselves. In that process lies our learning. One lesson different from the other. But all and each tailor-typed to a perfect fit.... for each and every living thing.
.
God didn't create life and the world on a whim. Everything is engineered to serve a higher purpose. Every life big or small, significant or insignificant is to work its reason for being and do its part to complete the whole tapestry of God's design.
.
We're here for a reason. That little spider has his and is tasked to do his part.
.
We all stand connected. By God's design.

Hope you're all having a pleasant and blessed day. God bless you.

WHAT'S ON MY MIND TODAY

 'So what's on your mind'?

Today it is this.....................

"Inside myself is a place where I live all alone and that's where you renew your springs that never dry up."  --- Pearl Buck (1892 - 1973)

It’s not every time that I want company, or listen to the noise of endless banter, or watch the chaotic human parade of other people’s lives. Sometimes that can be kind of vexing to the mind, wearying to the heart, and tiring to the soul. At times create some confusion and troubling vibrations turning my tiny world upside down. It’s startling how all these can touch my tiny corner of the world and leave it so drained.

Sometimes I simply want to be alone. To be there in that moment of just being ..... feel the soft breeze on my face – feel the warmth of the sun on my skin –  hear birds chirping on tree tops – feel the waters under my feet on the shore – touch the rough jagged bark of a tree – watch the sun go down on the horizon – let rain touch my skin – write my dreams on clouds of flight – To be still ....

Sometimes I simply want to be that little child again sat on God’s divine knees –  and tell him about a lot of things...... how Peter and Jane have hurt me – to ask him to make Billy the Bully a good boy so that he won’t bother me again when I walk by his house – to tell my mom and dad to please know why I cry when they leave for the office – to tell him how bad I feel because Santa Claus didn’t give me a Barbie Doll for Christmas – to ask him to make grandpa well again so that we could play – to thank him for letting Mom cook my favorite spaghetti with huge meatballs every Saturday YUMMY!  It felt good telling.

Sometimes I simply want to be with my thoughts – thinking of the past and the things it has left me with – thinking of the present and how it’s forming my tomorrows – wondering what my tomorrows will be like or when I will be finally gone.

Sometimes I simply want to be  – seeing my flaws, mistakes, imperfections – seeing how fragile and vulnerable I truly am – looking at my limitations, my borders, my walls – and yet understanding that I too have my own strengths, potential, and the power to dream. That everything there, good or bad, has shaped who I am. That all that was, is, and will be is the story of my life.

Then I know where I stand. Connected with self, connected with the world, connected with my God.

“Inside myself is a place where I live all alone and that’s where you renew your springs that never dry up.” -Pearl Buck  (1892 – 1973)

Alone Time is a sacred place; make yours matter every time.
Have a lovely day, friends!

WHAT ARE WE HERE FOR?

----------------------
Let me tell you a little story.........

I remember this conversation long ago when school friends and I had a reunion. They were a good mix of personality and character each unique in her own sphere of life. But sadly we've been out of touch hence with each one led by life into other directions and pursuits. Anyway in such gatherings among ourselves, the conversation always gravitates towards topics which ordinary mortals wouldn't touch. Like husbands and their jobs, babies and feeding bottles, dresses and shoes, pizzas and pastas etc. etc. Oh are those ordinary? Hahahah .... Just kidding!

But sometimes a question such as this would come along .... 'So what are we here for?'

'What do you mean here? Here as in here in this nice cozy restaurant? Or here as in the here of a huge stupendous  mind-boggling and kick-me-quick-before-I-go-crazy here thing??'  Oh yes, that's one expected of Jane (not her real name).

After the laughter subsided round the table, the mood inched its way slowly into a more serious mode when Isabel (not her real name too) said  'I'm here for my family..'

'Here for my career...' said another. And the rest with ... 'Here to be happy..'   'Here to find my one great love..'   'Here to be a successful businesswoman..'   'Here to be a hero....'  Oh but this last one is a joke (just kidding)  ... although there is potential and a treasure of possibilities in those words. Life is full of surprises, as we all know it to be.

It was always nice to see and listen to them talk that way so much alive and fresh and fun and interestingly diverse yet still so much the same. They buzzed on oblivious to the fact that I was silent and enjoying my latte while savoring the moment.

Precious moment as I saw a common thread there. Oh no it's not what can be seen as so obvious but it's this special glow unseen by the naked eye which shines through and out of each person. A light which glides around inside the group traveling from one heart to the other with its warmth and joy. A light which is as singularly as it is collectively magical.

So what are we here for? I think we're here to build a bridge or bridges of light with one another. The more light bridges built the better for humanity and the world.

Have a fun-filled weekend, everyone. Build your bridges of light and shine!
God bless you all. Trust Him to take care of your day.

LOVE AS GOD LOVES YOU

It's quite easy to turn your back to the misery of others. But not so when misery hits you. Then you wish that friends wouldn't turn their backs on you.

-"Love one another as much as I love you." - I've heard this spoken so many times, read it a thousand times over. I have realized that none can be more truer than this. God in His magnificent love has given us all of the earth... land - sea - air... under our care and management, for our living joy and pleasure. And too each other to love and care for. Every individual does not stand alone no matter how he says he does and can.. or tries. For no man is an island, each one is dependent to and on another for many different things. I need you as much as you need me. So how is it that we can't... love?

Love will turn the tide. Believe coz it's been done for ages, by many, in different circumstances, with the smallest or greatest of hearts and hands. Love breaks down all barriers -- real perceived imagined.

Don't make it difficult for yourself or for the next guy beside you or for the rest of the world. Love ...and you will make a reality your and everybody's wish that the world were a better place. It'll start with you, me, them, us.
